trouble with jamis

During the summer i bought a used Jamis bike(full suspention) i forgot the model, but i was hauling ass down shasta and ate shit big time:D

anyways, i went back up to the top again, and on my way down(taking it easy) i felt the back tire grab the swing arm.
i had broken the subframe(swing arm) in two places when i ate shit. the bad news is when i got back i called the local jamis dealer, and they wouldnt help me till i got ahold of the original owner who bought it from the dealer. So i got ahold of the dude and got it down to the dealer, so they told me i would have to pay 200.00 for a new one, and then the whole bike whould be covered for warrenty. so i say sure, and then i thought life was all good. Then the guy calls me back after a month saying it will take a few more months. So i agree to wait some more.

but anyways my ? was has anyone else had a problem or is this dealer fucking with me, i have heard some bad about the guy, and im not sure if jamis is the greatest company or not.

all help is useful, thanks

Mountian bikes are not industructabe as you found out....

When you crashed you should have inspected the bike alittle better?

Sounds like you need a better full suspension bike............

nah i wasted enough money on this one

i think its time to go on a diet:flipoff2:
Get Jamis # from the shop and call them yourself and then call them every week until they care of your shit and if that doesn't work e-mail them a link to this post
I second the " e mail this link" to them. The more replies that get on here the better off you will be. No company wants negative feedback.
i know a guy that broke a swing arm on an I-Drive and had to pay to get a new one.
thanks guys, i got the bike back, but i had to pay for it all, they told me it would be coverd nexy time..so i said fuck it

thanks, if anything else happens i will let em know

thanks

I havn't had any problems at all. My best friends mom is a Jamis dealer up here in southern oregon. I am just kinda getting into that whole downhilling thing, super fun. Sorry to hear about your ordeal. I will talk to her and see what she thinks
