Will 1.75" .25" wall DOM tubing slide over 1.25" tubing? I want .500" wall tubing for my lower links but for the size I want it is over double the cost of buying both 1.75" and 1.25" with .25 wall together!

Thanks
Chris

In my experience, no. the ID of DOM tends to be less than what you would calculate it to be. The OD's are kept very accurate, but there are no guarntees on the ID.

Slip some 2" x .120 wall over it instead. This will likely be a perfect slip fit. The xtra 10 thousandths clearance seems to usually be about right.

You could also price 1.75" x 3/8" wall. I bet that would be plenty beefy.

Thanks Shrock.
My concern isnt on my truck, but more for my friend's cj7, we are building our suspensions at the same time. Will 3/8s wall be strong enough for a 14 bolt and 44s, because that is what he is running?

well I got that size from reading what azrockcrawler recommends after using 1/4 wall.
Also one last question, about inserts, if the tubing supposed ID is 1", do I run 1" OD inserts or smaller?
