The rear I still have to put inner axles in but im waiting for my D-shaft tomorrow so i can set my pinion and then paint it. Next week I get my front D-shaft. You're going to love your D44s. Since I've put mine in, I've not had a single driveline problem or worry. Its awesome when you can just sit and beat the crap out of your drivetrain hopping and jumping on obstacles until you make the damn thing yield to your kick-ass unstoppability!

I was over at a friend's house (we were sawzallificationing the small lugs out of his 37x13 boggers at the time) and he had the D44s he's a' puttin on his sammy sitting there. Some beefy shitzu for a Sammi.

You're going to love it. Something to think about: He's using YJ at all 4 corners, and had the machinist the set 'em up for hy-steer tap the perches when he welded them to the axle... now there's no need for a U-Bolt at all... plate goes on top of the spring, and then you put the bolt through it and gun that sucker down.

MasterYota, that Has to Kevin Walker's rig you're talking about! It's getting BIG. I'm not too far from you guys.... I live about 30 miles north of Jackson. You and Kevin should load up and go to Tellico with us sometime. What do you drive, we may have met?

Not sure how much yet...there is alot of stuff in that rig, and a whole lot of time!!!
D44's, arb's, onboard air, 1.6 16v, grs1, 37" boggers, onboard shower, full cage, i mean alot of stuff with alot of custom work!!! I spent a week working till wee hours in the morning putting in the new Wagoneer springs and the axles!

The housings i picked up for 300, arb's are 600, gears i got used 5.38's 150 for the pair, High steer with tie rods, 250, and then the front housing cut down with axles made to match the rear 450....all in all about 2500...parts and labor...but this was all a buddy deal with a guy i know that owns the 4wheel shop here.
But i was able to sell my old stuff and trade some other stuff...

Indeed it is. I'm not sure about the new paint, though. I've only seen pictures of it, though. Is it bad when people ask you if those are "palm trees" on your rig's camo? (The other side has big leaves, but you can't see it here):

He has bone-stock sammy axles on it here, taking it home from the shop that painted it to do the D44 install

Stats for the rest of ya:
37x13 cut Boggers
MRT Beadlocks
D44s (ARB & Spool)
Full Cage, Powertank, ect.
YJ Springover

Check out how we did the front tires - cut every OTHER lug out. That should prove interesting.

As far as Tellico, I've pretty much beaten my IFS into submission, so I'm not going to do nothing too extreme with the sucker until I'm happy with it (Except Land Between the Lakes this weekend ) for a while.

as far as what I drive, it's a silver 89 4Runner on 33" MT/Rs. I've only had it for a while, so it's in mid-buildup. After the solid axle finds it's home up front along with a front locker and probably a dual case setup, then I'll think about Tellico. Oh yeha - building a set of rocker skids and a beefy back bumper, too.

Hey! I'm supposed to go to LBL this weekend, too! Myself and a few other Zuks are planning to go up Saturday, the 27th.

I hear ya on the IFS at Tellico... it's pretty tough up there. A friend of ours 'wheeled the heck outta his 4Runner at Tellico when it was IFS and didn't break, but he also winched the tougher stuff. Had a LSD in the front. Another friend with a locked IFS Pickup breaks a front axle every time he gets near Tellico!

Are you planning a solid Yota axle? Or WIDE Chevy Dana's!

Master Yota- how about a name? It is hard placing you with such vague bio info. Have you wheeled around warford and watkins with the T&U crew? If you have wheeled w/ Kevin then we have met. You probably owe me beer

I for one, like the paint job. It is very original.
It looks like he got the idea from blaze orange camo, like below.
