Extreme Rockcrawling Series Waiting List
SUPER MODIFIED CLASS MODIFIED CLASS
In the event that a qualified competitor is unable compete, or does not send in fees by the due date, their spot will be forfeited to the
first on the waiting list with entry fees paid. If a competitor on the waiting list sends fees, but a spot does not become available, fees will
be refunded in full.

I think some of the east coast guys are going to get screwed over with the new format. From what I have heard, if a competitor made the pro series list, he will have to compete in pro series rather than ERoCC or NEURoC. There is a very good chance that most of the events will be on the west coast. So what this means is, if an east coast competitor made the pro series, he will either have to travel across the country 5 or 6 times next year or just retire from rockcrawling. Not everyone has the kind of cash to pay for that.

Erocc is gone with UROC taking them over, but I heard that Neuroc is still alive and kickin...anyone else know for sure?

Also, I am not sure but I wonder if you qualified for the Pro National Series, you can opt OUT of that series to run the Eastern UROC...?

I guess that's a question that many people will want an answer to.

I thought at least 2 of the events were back east, but I guess nothing is for certain at this point.

From what I have heard if you qualified AND chose to drive the PRO series then you would not be able to DRIVE in a semi pro class ... But you could be a spotter .. Also I think NEUROC has nothing to do with these RANKINGS .....

This is the worst thing that could happen to this sport. The entire intrigue of it in the first place was that the average joe could compete. Now you have to be in the elite few who had the blessed timming of being in some of the first comps. (From my understanding.) I was about to start a buggy, too. I see why they ahd to do it. If everyone from last year wants to come back, and so do new people, some people are going to have to be left out. But I disagree with this decision.

So how much do I have to spend to get on the waiting list? And if I don't get to compete, do I get that back, or is it just lost in exchange for the priveledge of being on the list of people who might someday be allowed to compete?

The real shits is the pay up front, and no refunds on the half up-front cash. Rockcrawling just got a whole lot more expensive.

Just hangin on the waiting list for the privlage of running Uroc.

You mean Rock RACING just got a whole lot more expensive.

A Mini Cooper S in a SCCA club class is starting to look interesting.

Was chosen to go pro but was told by a higher up in
organization that would not be any problem to go
down just not do both.Plus when one goes down
next on list is eligible to step up.Suppose to
be alot more info out today.

from the "middle of the pack" persepective, at least on the east side, nothing much has changed. its more expensive by almost $550, but, we are still running the same 4 comps we ran last year, AND, with shupe, blume, myers, durham and other high budget teams in the "pro's", our chances at a money finish have actually increased in the extreme east series.

also, on the east side, as a newbie team last year, we had to wait on the waiting list untill the previous years competitors had ponied up, and, once the deadline was over, we all had equal chance to get our spot.

so, unless youve been moved to the pros on the east side, nothing really has changed except the 50% price increase.

my biggest gripe is that they dragged ass on getting the list and rules out for 2 months, and then told us we have 4 weeks basically to get our money in. many of us were holding off on spending the big dollars on our rigs, and have familys and chrismas to think about and pay for... and to drop $800-$1500 into a pot and let it sit untill april kinda sucks. would be nice to see that moved to mid february to give people a chance to get thier rigs paid for and Christmas paid for.

Toytek is right, teams can step down from PRO to Extreme if they like. Can't do both, though a pro driver can spot in extreme.

I thought I saw that you could pay up front with CC but I'll have to check on that.

It is sad that some of us can't race "EROCC" if we go PRO, it is a lot of fun there and it is closer to home- that's life I guess.

Neuroc is still around and I'm betting it will grow this yr.

There is a cool series in Hot Springs, AR as well for the east coast guys- some of the EROCC guys came to the last one and had a blast (took first and second too)

:D
