Use heater core for extra cooling?

Just finishing Suzuki 2.0L buggy build. I mounted the radiator in the back on this build. Couple questions:

Is it worth using the heater core for extra cooling? I'd put 2x120mm fans on it?

Another question: is the valve that feeds the heater core switched or is coolant always flowing thru the heater core regardless of whether the heater is on or off? I've ditched everything electrical but the essentials, so I have no heater blower anymore.

Heater cores usually always get coolant flow unless diverted or blocked. . And yes they would help cool the engine a bit. It is a small radiator after all. Likely not the most efficient though. I would run a bigger main road. Or run 2 rads stacked together.. would cool more.

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I know the main fan is more efficient but I have the extra space and nothing else to do with the heater core. Two stacked rads is an interesting idear...

2 stacked rad worked great in my jeep buggy 15 years ago.i also had a cheap 12volt water pump with 1 1/2" inlet outlets to help coolant flow to the rear .(from a RV or boat water system I believe)
I had reused the heater core as a steering fluid cooler.

Some old veh (like fords) had a mech shut off/diverter valve for the coolant, most everything else just flows but the fan is off and the blend doors are closed so no hot air is making it into the cab.

Heater cores are litteraly radiators.
When you shits running hot you turn the heater on for extra cooling.
