Coaxial indicators work GREAT for finding the center of holes in a mill. Can be found pretty cheap too. I use the one in our shop all the time, along with boring heads

so, have you ever done any simple milling with your lathe because you don't have a mill?

I couldn't find a pic with the key in the chuck :flipoff2:

This is a really poor substitute for a mill. I could have done this job in less time than it took to set it up this way if I'd had even a cheapie mill/drill. Not to mention, climb milling is not a good idea at all in this configuration.
