the t-case itself is the same for a top shifting and a front shifting, only the linkage is different. for dual cases you need both cases to be top shifting. you can find top shifting linkages with a little hunting if you have front shifting cases. as far as cases are concerned you need 23 spline cases off a 22r-te (turbo). standard cases are 21 spline. you can use a 21 spline case and buy a 23 spline output from marlin or from toyota at about $180 a piece. those 82 cases will be 21 spline most likely top shifting.

You will also need an adapter for the V6 tranny to 4cyl t-case available from either All Pro or Marlin, or swap in a R151 Turbo tranny and the 4 cyl cases just bolt up with no adapter. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

yeah I was planing on getting the adapter from the V6 transmission to the 4cyl transfer case, and the second adapter for duel cases. so 82's should work?as far as I know they are top shifting.ill probly make a new cross member for a 2" drivetrin lift at the same time.

I converted my front shift rear case to top shift. I cut the rails off and changed the high-low shift fork. I also had to add the
part that goes on the 2wheel-4 wheel shift rail that the shifter engages. the holes were already in the rails for the roll pins.
