I was at jv for the jambo in my new rig. I install a howe power steering pump on it. When I did that it got rid of my vaccum advance ,so i looped the hose that went to it. Is there any way to make it work again ,cause it dies when I' m crawling now?

what do ya mean u got rid of it?just the hose, or the pod on the dist.?u need to have adv. for it to work right.

on my efi its not on the distributor it was attached to the power steering pump. So i took the lines coming out of the pump and routed them to each other

or maybe there is something I m not understanding. How do I fix this? w/o putting the stock pump back in.

The two lines off of the stock p/s pump are used to up the idle speed when steering effort is needed. I now run a pump w/o such a vacuum switch, so I just plugged one of the lines and hooked it to the other fitting on the idle up control. If you leave the line open, it'll constantly be upping your idle. I just filled the end of the fittings with silicone and let it cure fully before installing the lines back on. And there is no vacuum advance on a 22RE distributor.

I plugged one of the fittings then hooked one end of one hose to the plugged fitting and the other end to the idle up control valve (i.e. the thingy with the white screw adjustment knob on top). Since there is only one hose, doesn't matter where its plugged, I imagine a BB pressed inside the hose would work too, but I didn't have a BB.

Simple vacuum circuit, you have one hose from a vacuum source on the intake plenum that runs to the valve on the p/s pump. The other line runs back to the idle up thingy (same place the A/C idle up VSV connects to - they both do the same thing). When there is pressure in the p/s pump, the valve opens and lets vacuum pass from the intake to the output hose, bumps up the idle.
