If is loose yes. <IMG SRC="smilies/jester.gif" border="0"> Did you phase the u-joints when you put the d-shaft back in? If they are out of phase you will get a vibe also!! That is why you are supposed to match mark them before removal. Phaseing is when the u-joints are on the same plane on each end. Another reason is the d-shaft is balanced and if you put the slip joint back in the wrong place it will be out of balance causeing vibes.
This is one of the reasons that I tell people to get a Factory Service Manual and read up on what the hell you are trying to do. They tell you a lot of stuff that you need/should do. A lot of people think that the match marks do no need to be done, and Toyota must own stock in the paint pencil company. I have been building stuff for 40+years and I still read up on what I am going to do. If you cannot read get a book on tape and listen.
