I am thinking about swapping a 5.7 Vortec engine from a '99 Suburban into my rig. I am running an SM465 transmission with a hydraulic clutch. The question I have is what bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, and slave cylinder do I need for this conversion?

All OEM parts are available for this. In the early '90's they used the SM465 behind the TBI 350 with a hydro clutch. This was in the years preceeding the NV4500.

Charles, I have done this swap on my '77 FJ40. I'm almost finished and the only remaining parts are to hook up the fuel system and the cooling system. I am using a GM Performance Parts flywheel for one piece rear main seal engine, and have a bellhousing from a mid 70's fullsize Chevy truck. You can use the Toyota Slave cylinder w/the mounting bracket from Advance Adapters. email me at [email protected] if you have any questions.
