I did a hydraulic clutch swap in my 86 K5, but didnt realize the master cylinder is supposed to have those rods that go up to the pedal box to brace the firewall. Now after 2 years fo driving it, I've got a nasty crack in the firewall...

I welded it back up and made a little stiffener bracket to go on the inside and outside of the firewall, but I don't think this is a long term fix. If anyone is parting a truck and has those rods (or can share measurements), I'd love to get a set. The rods circled in red are what I am looking for.

Well I got scammed for $45 a couple months back, and the parts never showed up.

So I pulled the set out of my 1988 R30 and built a jug off of them, and made another set for the K5. Working under the dash is such a pain in the ass.

See pics. Don't judge my shitty welding; they're gonna work just fine
