Agreed. I know people love them, but I don't need my .22 to look like an MP5 or MP40. A little too tacticool for me.

If they are of the same quality as the STG-44 version, I'll be buying one. Im really impressed with the look/feel of the STG-44. The only thing I don't like is the plastic magazine.

I'd agree that it doesn't have the feel of the actual MP5, but will say that I liked my GSG5 as a fun plinker and that I was even less impressed with the Umarex versions when they came out. If I were to buy another some day it would be the GSG. And I'd replace all the screws again.

But, yeah, this whole discussion is a bit funny as it's about which 'fake' feels less fake, lol.

Thanks for helping dispose of 2500rds today.

Three new MP40's and two STG44's aimed at two paper targets at 50yds were decimated, barely even a square outline of paper left.

No issues at with ANY of these toys.

I wonder if GSG has any plans to make a pistol only version of the MP40? That faux shroud looks out of place on the rifle version.
