I bought a complete AMC 20 w/ moser axles, 2.72, and a welded carrier. i'm istalling the Moser's this week and I wanted to know if I could swap out the welded carrier for the Trac-loc I currnetly have on my rig. I was thinking of justing taking my current ring gear off the trac-loc, put it on the welded carrier, and slap that carrier in the axle. Would this require re-shimming, or would it just bolt right back up. This is just temporary until i can get a beefier axle w/ a Detroit this summer. I really don't want to drop anymore money into this axle, this is just a temporary fix to gain some traction on the trail.

Could always just weld up the spiders in the track-Loc......If you have access to a welder, that is.

I 've got access to a welder, but I would rather keep the trac-loc intact in case I want to re-install it. I like having functioning spares, especiially on my daily driver.
