for some chevy rear shackles. They want $25 a piece!! That"s kinda high I think? Since I only paid $100 a pair for the springs at another yard. Is there another alternitive to using chevy shackles? It's such a pain trying to find chevy shackles there must be another way. I want to do this swap bad!

Does not sound like the P-N-P's out here where we have real big rocks. To me it sounds like bend over and push back dry.

I never go to a P-n-P any more

I purchase part trucks out of the want advertiser for $50-$200 with the agreement from the owner that I have a week to disassemble what I want off the truck, and the rest go’s to the scrap yard.

I just purchased a 2wd stand cab short bed Toyota for $200. I just came up from FL in August and was hit in the front left. The bed (rust free) alone is worth $600 here in New England. I will also be taking the rear end, springs, shackles, tranny, bed liner, passenger side door, glass, and a lot of mis. parts.

You would be surprised at how fast you can go through a truck with some liquid wrench and air tools! 8 hours, and she is down to the frame, and cab.

I know of 3 available 4x4 Toyotas. So now I have more trucks then I do time.

How long should I make them?
Are going Double? If so you will probably have to go with Two sets that are about 5 1/2" long, for your truck I think. You will have to make the top shackle as long as it takes to get to the length of the chevy spring, then bring the bottom shackle straight down to the spring eye. Make sense?:D
