jhama78, who cut that cam? Have you run that motor yet? No prob with the valve clearence? I like the specs of that cam, I ruined my old cam, had pretty close to the same specs and want to rebuild it. I hope to have my 383 in my Blazer by the end of the year.

The cam came from

PBM performance products
7301 Global drive
Louisville Ky 40258

I havent run it yet but hope to within the next two weeks. My biggest obstacle is that I am 50 miles away from my truck during the week so I cant work to get it ready except for the weekends. Ill letcha know how it does once I get everything together and running.

I spoke with the guy that helped me build the engine and he is completely confident with this combination.... I guess we'll see what happens if things arent matched correctly....:nuke: :D

Mines a reground ZZ4 roller cam in a late vortec engine. Here is the Desktop dyno file I used when planning it.

.465 lift with 270* duration is pretty close to where we ended up. I can't find the cam card right now, but it's not too far off.

I'm running almost the same cam. But a little more duration. Flat top pistons with small reliefs, about .005 out of the hole. With no problems.

Go for it! Great cam for a 383.

It was pretty acurate on my current motor. Witch I have had dynoed. And the Hp / Tq curve was very close. The only unknown was the actual flow numbers of my heads.

On the motor I'm building now I have had the heads on a flow bench, so I can punch in the actual flow numbers. It should be real close.

The best thing is you can see how different cams will effect your set up. Cool shit!

My engine is a .030 over 400 SBC not a 350 but here is the specs on the cam that I have in it. It is a Crane Energizer 282H06. It has .470 lift, 282 Adv.duration, 226 duration at .050, & 106 lobe seperation, with 1.5 rockers. I have an old version of desktop dyno and it puts my engine at 347 HP, and 465 TQ. It has a good choppy idle and sounds good, but might be a little large for a 350.
