I think you need to take off a lot more of those front fenders. My 42's wouldn't clear with that little cutting.

The rear of the fender is cut all the way back to the cab.
I need to move the axle forward.
Problem is the chassis was setup without the body on it and I got the measurements for the axle off alittle.
Considering the frame is a 76 2wd frame something was bound to be off.
The question is how to move it forward. I really don't want to cut out the crossmembers and start over. Besides the front crossmember sticks out far enough as it is.
Any ideas?

those zero rate add-a-leaf things can give you about 1" forward on the axle.

Built to beat. I like it.
Pretty much sums it up :D

I was impressed even before I got to the comments about your vision. Always kicks ass to see someone building something others don't think they can.

I also agree on just doing a little flat bed and calling it a day. That's the route I'd go. Depends on where you're gonna wheel it, though.

I cut and pasted your comments into notepad.
Hope you don't mind. This was easier than doing indivigual replies with quotes.

"whats the total lift?? i like the low CG"
Approx. 9" Not really sure I didn't measure before I did the 4x4 conversion.

Yes I am legally blind. I can see some fuzzy shapes but thats it. I do most all the fab by feel. I have lots of cuts and burnt finger tips! LOL

Where can I find these? I would like to know more about them.

Thank you.

I just can't seem to picture it with a flat bed.
Although that would make getting to the toolboxs and recovery equipment alot easier.
