Whats the biggest rear ends in a International..?

I have a friend that has found something that has a rear bigger than the RA-15
and the front end is bigger than the d70 / the center section looks like that of a RA-15

I will try and get some pictures tomorrow ...

also gears is something like 613-616

I asn't sure what it was in..
He just got the diffs...
Has anyone even tried to use the rearends for offroading...
He bought them for spairs......
He right now has ra15 rear and D70 front end...
He is making a hybrid truck sitting on 46 tractor tires in rear and 44" boggers in the front...

It's not a 2 speed.....

IH used to use Eaton axles on their big trucks. I have some WW2 allwheel drive trucks that have Eaton axles front and rear. Are they 6 hole bud patern?

The International RA20 and RA30 rears look a lot like an RA15 but bigger. I used to have a 1962 International 4x4 fire truck that had an RA30 rear and a Rockwell FDS75 front axle. The truck had an 18,000 lb. GVWR. I have some pictures of the truck including the axles at http://isaac.healdsburg.net/bc170/

They are 6 bolt pattern...

the front center section looks just like a ra15
the rear is much bigger than a ra15 but is still a round senter section... big brakes too...

The top is the front center section and the bottom is the rear...
The top one looks about like the size of the RA-15
this rear is bigger...

I thows look simler to the axels under a budies load star

does the the front axel use U-joints or orbatils (looks like a U-joint turned inside out) ?

Axles

Looks like an Eaton. Short pinion, big ring gear, drop out thirds. Cool Axles.
