I want to regear my truck and lock front and rear...I'm going with 5.29's and lockrites or detroit e-z's in my 8" toy diff's

What kind of prices should I be looking for?

Is genuine gear the same as U.S. gear?
Are lockrites the same as detroit ez lockers performance wise and price?

What is a good installation price?
Need feedback please!

EZ's and lockrites are almost identical, I've heard that lockrites are made of better materials and have better customer support and warranty, I've heard the EZ locker is often smoother, take this with a grain of salt tho, they are both designed the same, I would get whichever one you can find cheaper...I'm not sure who has the cheapest prices, you might want to call Sean @ RiverCity differential and see how much they could setup everything for....also randy's r&p (1800-292-1031) sells everything you need...

allpro has the gears for $195, and the diff setup kit for $125...

Got my gears and EZ's (now called quicklocks) through Drivetrain Wharehouse for $895 to my door. They were Genuine gears with install kits as well. They have full page adds in most every 4x4 magazine.

Do it all yourself!!! Save the cash, learn about your diffs.
Even better, save the installation cash, and capture a couple of V-6 housings. The lockers are cheaper, the gears are a bit more, it all evens out.

i took my diff to sean @ river city, for $40 and about 15-20 minutes i was locked($229.50-lockright @central 4wd in sacramento)...it seemed super easy, but for $40 i couldnt pass, plus those guys are super kool and had some crazy wheelin pix...beng locked up front too has totally changed my ability to wheel--so much different...its actually the vehicles abilities, i still suck!

consider a spool for the rear- i sure like the road manners better- the only pain is parking lots. no bang/click/click/clunk, no load and unload (locker wiggle) on the hiway. cost is cheaper than a locker, and no internal parts to break!

had an old guy stop me and tell me something was wrong with the truck, "cuase it was dragging a tire around the corner" told if it didn't it was broke!
