I have an '84 Extra cab and I need new shocks. I have a 7" Skyjacker spring lift and I thought the RS9000's would be a good choice. I don't do any rock crawling or anything, just trails and mud. 3/4 of my miles are road miles.

My fronts right now are 21" from bottom eye to top mount and my rears are 23.5" from eye to eye.

Do you think these are good choices for shocks? Other options? Different mounts(Ford)?

Thanks

RS9012's should do ya. Or the 5012 if you want to save some cash. Both are the same lenths as well. There is also a Pro Comp shock that is long as hell, but I don;t have the part # for that.

You need to flex it out, and measure the extended length, and them compress it and measure the compressed length to get the shocks that fit.

This thing doesn't flex worth a crap! The springs are too stiff. Like I said, it's a daily driver that goes to the mountains every weekend. I guess it would be nice to have a ramp to check it out....

Is there any other shocks that people prefer?
