Went to buy new plugs for the 81 Chevy with a 305 today. The parts guy rattled off about 5 or 6 different options. When I asked him which he would suggest (I'm getting old I guess, I use to go buy plugs and ya had one or two choices and the only difference was who made them) he just stared at me with a blank look on his face and then said he had no idea. So what would be a good plug to go with?
Thanks

I prefer the AC Delco brand myself in the chevys

I second that. I used to work at a Chevy dealer service department. People would bring in their rides in with a fresh do- it- yourself tune up and would be running like sh!t. Alot of customers would get cought up in this - I need to buy the most expensive high performance spark plugs out there crap. For the most part they had stock engines in their cars and most stock engines don't do very well with hot spark plugs. So what we would do is replace their after market stuff with the O.E.M. parts and most of the time the problem would be solved. Get what ever the vehicle manufacture recomends and you will be fine. My .02 cents.
