Hey guys

and I was just wondering what are the top 5 to 10 modifications/changes/upgrades that I should do to make it a good off roader

Gut it down to a body and frame. Every wire and component except the fuel pump.

Stuff a 347, nv4500, 3spd atlas into it
Prorock d60s or 609s and full link suspension with 12" kings. Fiberglass baja fenders and 500' of 1.25x.125" tubing.

upgrades that I should do to make it a good off roader
#1 Assuming single cab, body lift 2-3" and add a real roll bar (under the bed, not through it) with an extension over the roof, tied to at least behind the cab and rear frame (4+ points) so, if the truck flips, it is not totalled and you are not dead. 3" between the roof and overhang.

Real rock sliders.

#2 Front winch bumper with a nice Warn or Mile Marker winch.

Rear winch bumper with winch in the bumper or bed.

#3 Tool box with good floor jack, hi-lift jack, plug kit, air compressor, complete wrench set, complete 1/4, 3/8, 1/2" socket set with breaker bars.

#4 - OBD scanner and paper repair manual

#5 1/2" - 3/4" good ropes and pulley blocks, both for wire and ropes.

Off road lighting to the sides of the vehicle and to the rear, where each side can be turned on and off with a flip switch.
