Ok, before i get a bunch of shiat for this post i want to make my case. I have a buddy that has an old 84 Chevy Silverado and I need to know a few tricks that will help him get at least a little more flex out of this beater truck. I have dealt more with coil sprung trucks, i so bare with my ignorance about leaf-sprung lingo. :flipoff2:
Sway bar disconnects, custom shock mounts(all my shocks limit my travel), maybe greasable bushings but I doubt they help a lot. Use a shackle flip and shorter leafs rather than tall leafs. If you buy new leafs, buy ones with lower advertised spring rates. A search will bring up a chart of all the major manufacturers. There is a start.
