I want to extend my breathers for the axles and gearboxes. What kind of tubing do I need? Fuel line? Vacuum line? Air hose? What works best? Can I connect it all together or is it best to run seperate lines?

I just run the cheap rubber fuel line.

I didn't run any together for the (admitedly very small) chance of cross contaminating fluids.

I topped them all with cheap Fram VW fuel filters

Well in my case, the fluids would all be the same, (90 wt) so that's not a worry. Is fuel line necessary? Will the fumes break down regular tubing? I suppose it's cheap insurance regardless. Thanks for the help.

I was gonna use fuel line but then I noticed that the air compressor line at the hardware store was made of the same material rated the same oil resistance, thicker and rated to a much higher pressure and about half the price per foot, so I bought that instead. I have some cheap fuel filters to put on as well, just haven't pu them on yet.

The Nissan fitting on my Toyota axle housing connects to windshield wiper fluid hose, which connects to a "T" fitting connecting front and rear hoses to some more hose which connects to a crankcase breather.

I use the filter to keep the big chunks from falling in the line, sometimes the mud goes everywhere. I'm running oil resistant air compressor line with cheap VW gas filters on the end. Works great.

i think he meant if there was a contaminant IN one of the sources you wanted vented that it wouldn't contaminate the OTHER sources via a common line, not that he was worried about the fluids being different weights and mixing.
