So to get my dana 44 and 60 to appear the same width I need to either...

run a 2" spacer in the rear and a 1/4" spacer in the front... gives me perfect width

or

run a 3" spacer int eh rear and a 1" spacer in the front... gives me almost perfect width

first off, i don't like spacers. I've never run them, but I've never liked them. Go figure. Getting wheels with different offsets is out of the question at this point in time... until i can afford to recenter some h1 beadlocks to my desired backspacing, this will have to suffice and since I need to get this jeep rolling asap, i need to get this done quickly...

so, i find plenty of 3" spacers... and plenty of 2" spacers... I find plenty of 1/4" spacers..... but NO 1" SPACERS! do they exist? if so, where can i buy some?

I'd rather go with the smaller set of spacers (which means my need for a 1" spacer is gone) for a slightly more narrow overall width however i'm running 15" wheels on these axels and do not want to shave anythign off the brakes if possible.... that being said, i know i'll have to shave them a little... but i'd like that to be AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE.

another question.... If I can find a 1" spacer, would it be safe for me to sandwich a 1/4" spacer in there with it to make my front and rear width's match perfectly? the thought crossed my mind although i'm sure nobody will ever be able to notice the 1/4" difference on each side....

thanks guys... appreciate the help.

i think you are worrying about squat on the wanting them to "appear the same width" routine:flipoff2:

the front is supposed to be wider than the rear. my front 44 is like 2"-3" wider than my rear 60.....both off the same 78 ford. i don't see any unusual width difference upon visual inspection.

now the issue of clearing the front calipers.......what is your wheel BS? i would grind some off the caliper bracket if it only will be minimal before i went to spacers.
