When mounting the IFS steering box to the frame does anyone allow for the amount that they have moved their diff forward by or do you all just mount it up in the same location (i know that they don`t bolt straight up, I just mean position) as the standed one?
The box mounts just behind the radiator support so the only way to move it forward would be to cut a hole in the support. I had my axle 1" forward and it was fine. It is now 2" forward and it still looks good.
I did a SAS so it's a little different, but the axle's 4" forward from where the IFS was and no iterferance. If I go to the heavy duty rods like Rockstompers, I might have to figure something out, but I'm running stock diameter on a hy steer arms.
it will not be in the standerd location it looks like it thow move it forwerd as much as posible and tilt it as much as posable.you will need to weld the old holes shut so you can drill threw them in a dif location.if you get the braket from marlin i had to raze mine 3/16"
