It is part of the axle
Hope this helps.

Just Kidding, I have an 85 Grand Wagoneer with 44 front 20 rear that I will sell cheap. It has a 360 TF727 and quadra trac that is cracked in half.
This Jeep was run in the tough truck event at the Essex JCT. VT 4X4 Jamboree.

Like he said. Waggy fronts came either passenger or driver side depending on the year. As for rears, 44's came centered (rare) or passenger side. They also had AMC 20's (centered). All depends on the years. I believe the early years had passenger side fronts.

Don't all Jeep Dana 20 have a passenger side drop, and matching front axle? That's what I had thought at least.

If it has a D20 t/c, it has to be pass. side front & centered rear.
