There has been some major fires here lately and has put a major damper on trail access. The biggest one today, the Moose fire is at just over 65,000 acres burned or burning and has ran over into Glacier Natl. Park, not good! Anyhow, there has been a low pressure system that moved in 2 days ago and is looking promising to dump some precip. on the area and let folks like me back into the backcountry for some good wheelin'. I've been able to wheel some, but none of the make your asshole stick to the seat wheeelin I'm addicted to. Do me, and all Montanans a big favor and hope/pray for rain so we too can enjoy our backyard playground and get these nasty fires handled and dead out. Wanna know the stupid thing about all of this chaos? The fires in this area were not started by electrical storms, no, dumb ass campers that leave campfires unattended, knowing there are heavy fire restrictions. Welcome to Montana, don't be a asshole and burn shit up! Sorry about the rant, but you'd be that way too if it encroached on your favorite sport, four wheelin'. Thanks for listening!

We got lots of rain last night here in Wyo. We have a lot of fires too! We have a chance of snow tonight. Hopefully giving the firefighters some relief.

Yea, I think most of the rain tracked south to Wyo. and s. mt.. It's so damn smokey, I want to use a respirator. The air is very thick with particulates. <IMG SRC="smilies/trooper.gif" border="0">
