I have a 1999 S10 4.3L X motor and I am trying to figure which flywheel and clutch setup to use.

I found a few earlier threads but it seems there was alot of misinformation listed.

From what I have found the 1999 s10 v6 uses an 11" clutch with a factory part number of 12557586. The flywheel from a full-size pickup with a 4.3L also uses an 11" clutch but with a part number of 14103282. What is the difference between these two flywheels? Are they weighted or drilled differently.

In my mind I would imagine either one would work but I would like to know the differences between them and unfortunately no one has the flywheels in town to compare side by side.

i had the same setup and the research i did told me any flywheel from an 89 or newer chev would work. I ended up with a flywheel from a 96 5.7l vortec truck for the 4.3. I bolted an 11" clutch to it.
