I've talked to him about it.
He builds sand car plunge shafts for trailing arms. Those joints are in phase thorughout the travel range as they don't turn left and right. Once you get out of phase with a shaft with this much torque applied to it (in low range out of a tcase) torque multiplication from phasing starts to add up and it'll rip itself a part pretty quick.

EDIT: Unless you were getting at that I should ask him about some yokes...which is a good idea...
Sorry...I get the 'sand car half shaft' suggestion alot when talking about this buggy...that's always my speach...
