Yes, all Rc are on the drivers side, they only cane in fords, you shorten the long side and retube the short side , you want to narrow it anyway right?

I will be soon too, but I used a Dodge front w/ pass side drop. I have to convert the dual hubs to single and cut the long side down a little .

...I know you can cut a Chev 44 down (4" long/1.5" short) and use axles from a Waggy and a Dodge 44 to get 62" width...

...Are there any "perfect matches" like this in the D60 world?

60's are 60's - full width only

8 lug Chevy 60's are like 69" wide or so, and I thin k*maybe* the Dodge front 60's are a wee bit narrower.

Just narrow the axle to your specs and have the shaft(s) resplined.

No matches like this. I am cutting the long side down. Then I will send off the inner shaft to get cut and resplined. Not touching the pass side. I have to cut it down to make it I believe 67 or 67.5"WMS-WMS after it is converted to single wheel. My rear D60 is only 65" wide so the front will be a bit longer. I figure if I can get the front through anything, the rear should follow. Im not really worried about breaking the stock(cut/resplined) shaft. Its a freaking D60, If I can break it with a 4.3, 40's, and my light 4runner then I can wait until I get a custom shaft ordered. Shoot im even running the spicer u-joints in the shafts from 93(year of my axle) until they go.

I'll drop by soon and take a peek at those axles, Rick.....The wife wants to see your runner anyway, so she has an idea of what mine will look like in the not too distant future(D44 SAS)....I have my fan shroud ordered and hope to get it installed next weekend....Also getting a VSS for Jags that Run to take care of that problem.....did you talk to Steve about building a 700R4? He said he can eliminate all computer control and give you OD lockup on torque converter and make it just as strong as any T350....And since the rear is the same as T350....you can use adapters to the Toy Tcase....and still have D shaft room....I can help you make some motor mounts if you want ......

...So all 60's have the diff in the same place in relation to the knuckles? Just depends on d/p-side placement?

I will be running a RC60 off a ford in my tube chassis x-cab buildup this winter. just have to retube the axle for passenger side drop, clearance will be handled by 40-42" tires

Give or tak an inch or so - all Dana 60 shafts that I know of are basically the same length (for their given side of course).
