ITs not actualy a starter soloniod , it is from Ramsey, the same ones that are in the DC9-1 winch that was on this jeep when I bought it. It may be old and only 8,000 pounds (pull and actual weight(ha ha))but my guess is that like most things, they don't make em like they used to. But one thing I would bet on is that it draws a hell of alot more amps than the new ones. And it works just fine.
It was only a suggestion, to do with what you want, so don't get your panties in a wad you f*ckin pussy. f*ckoff yourself or come here and see if you can make me f*ckoff!
It would only take a couple of bucks and a safe hill to testit anyway. spares are cheap and readily available, and easy to swap. And if you want to climb cliffs why don't you just get some rope (or not for you) and climbing shoes and do it right.
How many times have you actuasly NEEDED to winch up a cliff? Or is it just "I'm so cool winching my Jeep up a cliff"? and "I'm so cool with this bigol bolt-on switch".
What ever happened to inginuity, trial and error, making something out of nothing?
Well you got something out of nothing down since you made a big todo out of nothing but a suggestion.
Maybe I should go get one of you switches, how much are they again?
These solonoids are stock equipment on this DC9-1. One for power in, one for power out. Do you think you winch draws more than this old monster?
sorry its blurry
