If you want to start cheap and easy but this could be as simple as your tanny filter being dirty. If it was me I would flush and change the fluid and filter in the tranny. I dont know how long it has been since it has been change, but that might be something you might want to look at. But if it is an electronic tranny dont count that out. This just screams tranny fluid contamination of some sort.
