Alright, extreme, no. but xj yes. wtf do i need to change on this pile.

when i go forward, the steering pulls to the left. When backing up it will turn to steering lock to the right. Also, turning. It turns right easy, but turning left is impossible many times, even on a parking lot. The front diff is welded. And i know it makes turning more of a chore. but not being able to move the wheels on a parking lot, seems like something else. And i tried changing the steering box to no avail.

with the pulling, i would just say alignment. but with the difficulty steering left, makes me wonder if it could be related?

adj control arms, adj track bar, drop pitman, pinion angle at 6 degrees.

Anyone have a good guess? Any more info that would be helpful?

Also make sure the axle u-joints are phased together properly.

i thought about the u joints, going to pull the axles and phase them. I bet that makes a world of difference.

Honky is a retard...
1. i always align wheeling rigs with .5" toe in. i had about 1.45". oops. dunno how that happened.
2. Centered the axle, adjusted the track bar late at night. my measuring skillset was not up to par. it was about 2" to the pass side.

so now, i noticed the lower ball joints are getting some play. I will replace those today. and see where im at.
