Is the frame on a CJ7/CJ5/Jeepster narrow enough in front to fit XJ/TJ coils, coil tower etc. XJ/TJ front suspension? My dad's '68 Jeepster '68 has a closed knuckel D27(I think) with manual drum brakes in front and I was wondering how a XJ/TJ front suspension and axle fit in there. Would the front frame be narrow enough to clear the coils in their stock width on the axle?
thanks

As with anything you can make it work.

I think the CJ frame front is narrower than the TJ/XJ but justguessing.

A friend of mine is putting his old TJ front 44 onto a 60s Willy's Wagon. I can probably get pics for you if I remember the camera next time I am over there.
