I have a question for you guys. This thing says 2500, but I'm not sure why? 60 front 80 rear NV4500, cummins turbo etc etc. It could pull a freak'n train. What makes it 3/4 ton when it reads like a one ton?

My favorite is when it shifts, sounds JUST like a big rig!

Because the spring rate is set up for hauling 1500 (or so) pounds of crap in the bed.
Generally they are underrated however if you exceed the GVWR and get in a accident you could be in big trouble.

Besides, How many people on this board have 1/2 ton trucks that have dana 60's front and rear? It is not the axles that make a one ton truck...

Oh and Keith, don't forget to check the spark plugs gaps every 3000 miles. Diesel's run better with properly gapped spark plugs.

the reason its rated 3/4 ton is because it has more motor than ass. put a big load on it and you will see it sag like grannys tits.

Wait till he changes the oil (if he can do that ) and doesnt know what to do with 3 gallons of oil coming out of his oil pan. Better get a real pan to drain that thing or you will have a HUGE mess!

I prefer a 3 1/2 gallon bucket (like a 5 gal, just shorter). And good luck getting the filter off its a new truck. There's a certain gorilla on the assembly line that likes to tighten the crap out of those things.
