YJ Spring Over measurments?

If I run stock YJ springs sprung over and a 2 inch body lift and a little cutting can I fit 37 boggers maybe 38's Should I run an add a leaf to the Yj springs for saggin? thanks boys!!! <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0">

Depends if you want to fold your fenders in like a taco! I have a SOA with stock YJ packs, 1" body lift and my 33's regulary see fender contact. this could be fixed with a little trimming, but even with a flat fender job I wouldn't attempt to run 35's. The springs just flex so good.

I have the exact settup you are asking about. Spring over and 2 inch body lift.
I can clear 33s but wouldnt want to squeeze in 35s and no way 38s without some cutting .

It does flex good but takes some know how before you get started. Do your homework. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

You could fit them, but be prepared for MUCH Sawzall work. I run a similar set up, stock 6-leaf Wrangler packs on all four corners and a 1-inch body. I run 36 SX, but all my fenders are completely cut off. The fronts just clear at full stuff; plenty of room in the back.

I run 38.5" TSL's on my Spring over YJ. Im running 2.5" RE Extreme duty spring and a 1.5" body lift, and TJ flares (for now)... They sit perfect under there.

BTW: I wouldnt run add-a-leafs, personal experience. I started out using stock springs and 1.5" lifted full length add-a-leaf in the stock pack. They lasted 1 offroading trip. After that they were all wavy and sagged out really bad. Basically trash!

Your best bet is to get some 1-2" lifted packs and use them... Just my opinion.

ya.. im running rear cj springs all the way around and my 35's see the fenders on a regular basis.. so am about to make my own fenders.. and raise them 3"... plus add a 1" body lift..

I'm SOA with the stock springs (for now <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0"> ) and I also took my flares off. The flare job netted me approx. 2-2.5" more clearance than before and my 33s still hit. In the front they hit bad enough to bend the sheetmetal but in the back I haven't had any problems. Keep in mind I am running with no swaybar and a trackbar disconnect on the front. The trackbar gives me about 2" more flex (stuff and droop each) over it being connected so with it connected I don't think they would hit. If you want to run 38's plan of adding lift springs and/or a body lift depending on how much lift the springs provide.

Hmmmm...I run a SOA with stock springs and a 2 inch body lift and my fenders are fine. Guess if you engineer your bump stops correctly to PREVENT the tires from making full contact on your fenders you can fit 37's. Depends on how much you love your sheetmetal like everyone says. I don't!
