Taking the advice of the POR gurus I notched the frame of my CJ-7 to make sure I have room for the perty new set of Fox Coilovers. Is this a functional splice or is it going to break!

The only thing that I would have done would have been to skip the 90* cuts. I would have tapered them, mainly just for the smoother, cleaner look.
You mean like this? took long time by sawsall!

Going to weld a plate on there in the AM... :D

Better FAWKERS :flipoff2:

Sherpa, I will pull the tires off to see how wide I will be going with the new HP60 rear seems like about 8" wider then the original CJ-7 track width..

why not just run them inside the frame rails??
running them inside the rails causes 2 issues:

the side-to-side efficiency goes way down, and it takes up

alot of space inside the tub. also might complicate gas-tank

routing, and other misc stuff.
