Yes, unfortunately the brakes suck. I was hoping a 15" pedal and dual 7/8 would be close, but they're almost non existent and I'm not ready for the fancy Branik kit yet.

I was wanting to run the PRP ones, but Jesse said he heard they were no longer going to make them. I always wear a helmet, but thinking of adding padding for now.
Id think a upholstery shop could whip something up pretty easy.

New correct Griffin Racing Radiator installed with the Goatbuilt grill hoop. Everything is protected, just need to finalize the upper radiator hold down that will help seal the shroud. Trying to brainstorm a way to add some 7/8 heims for spares with it, but had to go to work. Lower radiator means better lines for the hood too.

Catch cans plumbed, radiator hoop tied in, hood mounted, skins painted, almost ready for a shakedown run. Seems a little sluggish off the line compared to my L67 car, but not sure if it's tune related or just needs a some upgrades.

Shakedown run was a disaster. Ripped a new 3/4 x 3/4 rear steer heim in half, transmission lost reverse and the fan rubbed a hole in the radiator. Got it torn apart, did a lot of grinding on the steering arms and almost had a new trans, but all 3 at the junkyard were the early 4l80 with the wrong tailshaft.

Buggy looks awesome! Sucks to hear about the troubles, but I bet you have it fixed up shortly. On the engine being sluggish I would take it and have it dyno tuned! It made a world of a difference in my buggy.

(Full disclosure I am pulling my engine because I blew it up. You may not want to listen to me!)

I've had a few questions about my fix, so I figured I'd post a couple pics to help someone. Having just ripped a 3/4 heim in half I figured I would share what I learned this weekend. Trail Gear 3.5 9" housing using 05+ Superduty Cs and outers with stock Spicer 1550 shafts and a PSC 2.5x10 ram.

I ground the back side stops flush with the knuckle until I just had daylight between the caliper and shock. If you inboard the shock more, you could probably grind some more.

I ground about 1/2" off the lower steering arm of the JHF kit until there was barely daylight at full lock.

Are you not worried about too much steering angle now? I mean, those shafts are going to have a ton of stress at full lock from what it looks like. Did you measure the degree of steering you are getting?

Haven't measured yet, but I'm planning to limit them ram a good 3/4" until I save up for better shafts. Rumor is Fusion 4x4 has 1550 chromos coming out this summer.

Do you have the correct Long fitting for the trans cooler? That almost looks like it was starved for oil.

It should look something like this one.
Yes, they're just to the left and bottom in the pic of the transmission torn apart pic.
