I'm sitting in my living room in Northern CA waiting for camo to come pick me up so we can head to the airport. It's a full day of flying and layovers today. But it sure beats driving all the way to Rausch Creek, PA!!!!

Well camo finally made it, and we are sitting at Sacramento International Airport sipping a cocktails (doubles, of course) and waiting for our flight. We don't land in Philadelphia until 11:20PM, so it's going to be a long day of hanging out in airplanes and airports.

Made it to Houston.... Once again a couple of doubles and a few cajun shrimp to pass the time...

We made it to Philly last night, and found JT Taylor wondering aimlessly around the airport. We felt sorry for him and invited him to crash on the floor in our hotel. Once we arrived at the hotel, we all pretty much passed out for the night.
There was just a knock on the door, and in came Dave Cole (KOH Kingpin) to haul us all out to Rausch Creek. It's about a 2 hour drive out to Rausch Creek from Philly. Dave just flew in on a red eye flight from CA, and with no sleep all night, he's all bright eyed and spunky. Dave reports that it is raining cats and dogs at the event site right now.

The rain is coming down on the ride to Rausch. Let's hope that the weather clears up for tomorrow. The forecast is calling for a little better weather tomorrow. Regardless, it's gonna be a muddy race!

JT has been teching race vehicles all day while camo and I went for a pre run ride of the 12.5 mile course.
Speaking of the course, here is the official KOH Rausch Creek Qualifer course:
Half of the course consists of smooth dirt roads that were built for a rally racing course. The other half consists of mild, and moderate rock strewn trails. There are a few good rock slab climbs, and there is no shortage of mud.
During our pre run we came across more than a few broken rigs on the course. I sure hope they can all figure out there issues before tomorrow!
One of the local favorites, Doug Bigelow caught up with us on the race course. Right after saying hi to us, he took off and popped a tire. I have a feeling there will be lots of flats tomorrow in the big race.
Here is a section of the race course called "Rock Creek". I would love to see three rigs come into here three-wide tomorrow. That would be SICK.
And here is what everyone will be punishing themselves and their rigs for tomorrow.
It's time to pack up the laptop and head down to the circus tent to watch the driver's meeting. I'll try and get some live video.
