Read all the reviews on flippedupmirrors.com and rollincoal.org. Truck in question is a 07 megacab 4x4.

Anyone here have any real world experience on a heavy truck. The stock 235 generals lasted 70k each.

Unfortunately 255/80r17 are only available in the cooper's and KM2. I cannot bring myself to waste the extra $240 (total) for a mud tire on a highway truck. Don't trust spacers or need the 285s. Other option is stick with the abundance of 235's.

whatcha talkin bout willis? :mr-t:

I ran 255 KM2s on my 2011 3500 dually, no complaints, got around 25k before I damaged one on the highway. Put 4 of the remaining tires on a a srw F-350 service truck and they have another 10k and still close to half tread.

Just ordered a set of the ST maxx yesterday, having them installed Tuesday.

I love the 255-80 size on the dually, perfect fit.
Had the KM2s and going Cooper... that kinda pushes me that way too. If they made the 255 in an A/T instead of KM it wouldnt even be a contest.

Damn, hate to hear that. I need to replace my current tires after I just replaced ball joints, u joints, unit bearings and shocks. Current tires are trash thunderers that have been chewed up hard from the dirt roads, gravel roads, and ranch work and because the ball joints were wobbly as a weable. I can't decide between st maxx, toto at2 and copper ap3.

I have a ram 2500 and I pull a 5er several times a month. I hade the cooper at3 and they were good until about 35k. One of them developed a wobble and discount tire offered to replace it free. Since the others were all worn some I opted to just use that money toward a new set. I got a 305/70/17 terra grappler. They have been excellent tires. Right now I have 65k on them and have not yet hit the wear bars. They have never let me down around a campsite or in the hunting lease. Last year I pulled an enclosed trailer about a mile back into the lease with about 6 inches of snow over a dirt road and made it in and out in 2wd (I wanted to see if I could). Not sure if I will get them again or try something different. It's always fun to change things up sometimes.
