with the wet season here, I think it's time to do something about my weber, as its just an open element filter. I did some searching and found a few references to a weber plenum adapter or something like that, but they were all old posts and the links and pics no longer worked. anyone have any info on this? I thought about the whole tupperware thing, but that's just a little to ghetto for me. thanks guys. oh BTW its on an '82 toyota 22R.

The tupperware idea will probably sound a lot better once you find out how much that plenum/adapter costs. :D It's made by K&N and the part # is KNN-85-8921. The last time I looked over at Summit Racing it was around $180. When I ran a Weber I used an adapter that allowed me to use the stock air cleaner assembly. This made it easy to hook my snorkel up.:)

In this case, does anyone have any pics of a tupperware setup? I hope my mom doesn't get mad at me when I raid the pantry :D .

I have the adapter to the stock Cruzer air filter on my Weber.
I hate Man a Fre but i think they have them...

I little bit of duct work and my air cleaner is in the glove box.

Figure that if I am in the water up to my chest....
I should be in something with a hull.

Couldn't you use a rubber fitting from a plumbing store? I know they make some pretty big fittings that neck down. Plus they use metal clamps on each end. Just a thought
