I've read this thread in its entirety today in my spare time and kept wondering where my booty fab pictures were. I did some searching and found these stored elsewhere.

About five years ago, on a trail ride in the Ocala National Forest, one member of the jeep club got stuck. The green jeep visible in one of the pictures went in to try to recover him and ended up getting stuck as well.

The locals have (had?) a loosely formed club called the St. Francis Rough Riders. (St. Francis is an area in the southeast corner of the forest.) They typically had some of the goofiest looking rigs built on a budget that you can imagine.

The thing without a body started first. He pulled for five minutes until he broke his rear driveshaft. Since he was still attached, the next recovery vehicle they brought down to the edge of the muddy water was the Lincoln bodied "thing". He pulled and pulled for ten minutes, roaring and smoking, trying to yank the "truggy" that was attached to one of the TJs.

Then he flopped it on its side.

I turned towards one of their members and looked up the hill at where all their rigs were parked, and said, "What else ya got up there?"

That's really interesting. I wouldn't call it hack either... but perhaps I'd call the tube chassis a 3D construction made out of very 2D thinking. Maybe he planned to stack it on a container ship.

Are the spring buckets on slides at the corners!? It looks like he can pull a pin, lift it to the next hole and then re-anchor it.

Saw this over on another forum. It was a kids brilliant invention to reduce green house gases.

Yes, and it was posted here before you even joined the board.
