Sorry for the late response...

Very busy day and no time for Pirate til now...

just ordered a bunch more heims and link brackets today.:smokin:
thanks again for the great prices and great service.:grinpimp:
i can't believe what i used to pay for this stuff...
I know, me too...

Dan did you get my order last week?

Matt Overton. Ordered a few 3/4 joints and a 7/8 joint also. Just wondering when to expect them.
Good talking to you today Matt

x2 dans the man, helps me out alot and doesnt laugh at my stupid questions:laughing::homer:

if you need someone to test the new joints send me a set of joints and ill gladly do the testing for ya! lol :grinpimp:
You know, you are the first person that has asked, :shaking:...

I am looking for these as well.

Please keep us posted on the progress.

Thanks
Thanks

i pulled my control arms off today to do some straightening (i didn't go big enough on my lower control arms up front:shaking:). i have the old style 1-1/4 heims on the arms and have been beating on them for almost a year. 5 hammers trips and several other wheeling trips later, these look and feel EXACTLY the same as the day they were installed. they show zero signs of wear. keep in mind these are not the new and improved heat treated / cryo'ed heims that will last even longer. i also have less than desirable separation which puts added stress on the heims. i really expected to see some acceptable wear on these things but there is none.

great products:smokin:

Hey Dan... I know you got a few phonecalls from me on Saturday... This is a copy and paste from my build thread on JF which gets updated a little more regularly... figured it would be appropriate to post it here:

Got to my parents' house around 11:00 Saturday, opened up my package from Ruff Stuff(which arrived Friday), the heims are the best quality of all the ones I've seen. The misalignment spacers too... they fit perfectly and are perfectly smooth with the rest of the "ball" in the heim... the (other PBB vendor) misalignment spacers that I have on my steering and track bar work, but they're obviously not as precisely made.

Here is how the heims are packaged(after taking out of a flat rate box):

Image

The rubbery foamy cushion around the threads made sure everything was perfectly in tact... there are ZERO burrs on the threads of these joints. (other PBB vendor) joints ship with this mesh fishnet thing around the threads... it honestly doesn't do a damn thing... I have cut my hands on rough parts of the threads on their joints and had to clean one up before threading a jam nut on. I never really thought anything of it before... but now that I've gotten some quality stuff I'm not sure (other PBB vendor) will ever have my business or recommendation ever again.

I hate to be a nut-hugger for Ruff Stuff Specialties, but they just go above and beyond and I can't help but share how awesome my experience with them.... which leads me to this:

I got to looking at the heims and misalignment spacers... I found out that the misalignment spacers were actually down to 3/4"... not 5/8" like I ordered/needed. Called Dan... at 11:30am on a Saturday(note it is 8:30 in California), he picks up, I explain the situation and he told me to not worry about it, keep the 3/4" spacers, he is sending me the 5/8" misalignment spacers to me overnight... should see them Monday. Awesome!

(This part not relevant... installed Brown Dog motor mounts)

So after I get those in, the mail comes... dropped off another package from Ruff Stuff, same size as the other one w/ the heims I already got:confused: I thought it was a Back to the Future moment where I was given a package from the past... or something:laughing:

In it:

2 more Ruff Stuff heims... with the CORRECT 5/8" misalignment spacers:2thumbsup:

Anyways I called Dan back, and explained to him that he doesn't have to worry about the spacers, and I'm sending him back the 2 extra heims and the wrong misalignment spacers. He insisted that he give me $10 to mail it back/for my troubles... It was a funny/bizarre mistake. Sent them back a nice letter too, even when they screw up the service is crazy awesome:smokin:

Dan... you know who that other vendor is.

Thanks again for the great service! I'll send the extra heims/spacers back some time this week!

Thanks for the order Justin/Stephen, kind of a big deal for a small order since you are located about 100' from our biggest competitor in Tuscon! I was a freshman in High School in Tuscon and I knew that address sounded like I had heard it before, it will fly in the morning! We actually get alot of orders from that area ;)
