i have been searching for sometime now and cant seem to find the answer i need. any info would be helpful.
i have a front d44 housing out of a 79 cherokee that has been cut down on one side and made to fit a cj7. my plan is to reassemble this axle (on a tight budget) and install this into my cj7, keeping the cj's lug pattern. so far the parts i have are
bare housing
4.56 ring and pinion
waggy d44 knuckles
open carrier
the steering linkage used in the original setup
i also have a front scout d44 and a wide track cj dana 30. what parts can i reuse off of either axle to save me some cash? will the scouts D44 axle shafts work in my cheorkee d44? i do not want to buy parts i dont need if thares something i have already that i can reuse.
