Where in the sam hell are you scoring this shit? I want in. :flipoff2:
:laughing:Iowas along was away to be wanting in on my stock pile of free stuff, as to where I get it ..... Ill never tell:flipoff2:

The angled block looks like a set I found when I scrapped out a 78 ford bronco a while back.
Im assuming in the rear ... for what better driveline angles in such a short wheel base? Was it factory?

It was in the rear, and everything on the bronco was factory. The set I had were 3" wide to match the width of the springs.
I see .... good to know, these are about 3" wide also. I guess Ill stash them away with the rest of my nest, might come in handy for something. Thanks mudskipper

Keeping in line with my ghetto fab ways I think Im going to use this as my upper shock mounts on the rear.

And suprisingly being on pirate I havent been flamed for these shackles. But have no fear the new ones are in the mail.:flipoff2:

They are just some cheap advanced auto lift shackles that I burned together to use for mock up purposes. They have come in pretty handy especailly since they have 3 holes for adjustments.

And lastly I saved the gauge cluster from the burban. Im going to gut the original gauges and mount my new ones in it somehow.

Those blocks are not stock for a bronco (I think?), someone may have installed them onto it though. They are the block that goes in between the rear leafpack and the overload leaf of a 3/4 ton or 1 ton ford pickup...

Between the leaf pack and overload? Theres no hole through them for the center pin.

Wow there is like a million bolts that hold a bed together ,30 year old bolts at that. Taking it apart was a PITA but its all said and done now. Been tossing around some ideas about how I want it to sit, still got to think of a way to mount it though. Heres how it sits now

I dont like the gap between the bed and the bed sides so Im going to slide it up some. But then the wheel wells will be offset from the tires so I think Im going to cut them like poorboy did his. And Im also going to look into moving my fuel tank cause thats going to be a PITA to fill where its at now.

Looks like if you cut the frame off past the hangers it would be perfect length, thats what I did with mine, but I didnt keep the box. Nice build, love all the paint. You just need that 60 now.
I plan on going crew cab and possibly 64" rear springs one of these days so I want to make sure I have enough frame to adjust if I need too. But once all of that is in place the excess will be trimmed off. Thanks for the input, and I am now taking donations for a 60 :D

Does anyone make some extended shock mounts for the front of a chevy?

I was planning on using the stock mounts on the axle, but I need something up a little higher than the stock mount on the frame. Is this even a good idea? should I mount the front shocks differently? Just thinking ... Im wanting to keep things as simple as possible.

Any input?
