Am I seeing what I think I'm seeing? Is that a trigger welded mig weave?

AHH yeah we'd never weld a cap on this that technique. Continuous weld and the heat is actually turned up quite a bit. The thickness is almost 1" right there with the cap pressed into the housing. The heat transfer is more than enough for the caps.

Sorry the pictures where down. We did a few changes to our photobucket account and it broke the links. The vehicle is delivered and getting a few extra touches.

Here's some more pictures throughout the build.

Getting an idea how low it is at bump as well as mocking up the hood.

Yeah the buggy is done. We've been swamped at the shop and I haven't had time to get updates or even been online hardly. The owner loves the car and its been out a few times now with great success. Its first debut was KOH this year and put about 100 miles on the car with very minimal issues. About the extent of issues was a loose dipstick.

Its second big outing was EJS and it was unloaded and driven to every trail and used as the primary mode of transportation all week. They logged about another 150-200 miles while down there and it handled well even driving back from Behind the Rocks on the highway back to town. It's a plated rig with a windshield and turn signals so he didn't have any issues with the police.

Just a few weeks ago we had it back in the shop for a shock upgrade not out of sheer necessity, more in just getting a more tuneable shock. We put a set of the new King Internal Bypass 2.5's on and from the sound of it, its helped smooth out the ride even more. We're hoping to get out and do some high speed testing with it within the few weeks but can say that we're quite impressed with Kings new shocks. Down at KOH we were doing about 70+ through medium wash and King claims we will get another 30 MPH out of the buggy with these new shocks.

I'll post more pictures up this evening but in the mean time, here are a few pictures of the buggy in its raw form out doing some testing before it got stripped down for paint and powdercoating.

One of the big goals with this chassis and particularly with the buggy, was to build something that an average Jeep/Wheeling enthusiast could relate to. The lines are very similar to a JK and we wanted something that flowed very well together.

PRP did some custom stitch work for Nitro and the seats turned out awesome.

As you can tell the dash is very driver centric and all switches and controls are accessible fully strapped in.
