Finally gusseted the spring hangers .... finally

Mounted my rear shocks, I dont have much room for up travel though. Guess Ill have to get some shorter shocks or just get off my ass and build the bumpstops Ive been talking about for a year now.

Everythings mounted to the bed. BTW the mud flaps are removable, I made a trip down to the local truck stop and picked up the hangers and mounts. I just need them to make it street legal (cross fingers).

My helper, shes been holding down the toolbox for the last 5 hours.

Thank you DIY4X. Got my B-52's hopefully tomarrow if the rain holds off Ill get those mounted up. Wont take long, all the rivets are gone and the bolts are handy. Just a matter of out with the old and in with the new.

Shes startin to come around ... finally. After I install the b-52's and open up the driver side wheel well Im just down to re-doing the wiring and building a front drive shaft.:grinpimp:

Now Im looking at a rewire and a paint job, this is the closest Ive been to being actually finished since this project started. Well not finished it will always be an ongoing project ... you know what I mean:mr-t:

B-52 kit installed. Probably the easiest upgrade Ive done, bolted right on no drilling and fits like a glove:smokin:

Finally got a driveshaft that fits.

Since I rounded up a front drive shaft I figured I would go ahead and finish the front diff.

Looks like its time to search for some inner fenders:D

I have some serious wheel hop up front, Im runnin 4 leaf 52's. I dont really want to add any more leafs to try and stiffen it up cause I like how limber it is. What do I do. Build some sort of anti wrap bar or will that just defeat the purpose of doing the 52" swap in the first place. I dunno if it will cause the front to bind up when it flexes or not?? ... or do I just need to look into linking it?? I like the simplicity of running leafs ,which is why Ive strayed from coils thus far. Any one have any thoughts.

Did some fender trimming, added a visor, built a front bumper and I think Im gonna paint it OD green :grinpimp: I figured Id better add something since its been so long. And pay no mind to the lazy eye, I broke one of the plastic clips for the adjusters Ill have it back in soon.

The bumper is crude cheap and simple, but it works. Im not complaining though since I havent had a bumper in 9 years. And the D rings have been in my shop for the last 5 years lol. All in all Im happy with it, it should serve its purpose well.

Took the chevy down the road to stretch her legs, turns out she dosent flex as well as I had hoped. My old wore out springs are starting to flatten out, I was thinking of using a set of 6" leaf packs to liven up my old packs. Im not looking to lift it, but if I gain a couple inches oh well. I figured if I took the main leafs off of the lift springs and put the remainder under my main leafs on the chevy it might give me some more arch. Ill probably take a leaf or two out of each pack so it dosent ride like a farm tractor. Hopefully it will perform better, any thoughts on doing this.
