We are in final prep mode for 3rd annual UMC festival. We will be posting all of the upto date info here on pirate to keep everyone up to speed on what is going on. First things first though we need to get started with a roll call and we need to find out what drivers want to be part of parade and downtown festival so anyone that wants to be part of the event in any fashion shoot us an email at Lisa@Badlandsoffroad.com and will be posting info regularly till the event right here.

So... 24 hrs pass and nobody can site the source? Well, you guys are correct about the 35 points. If you were in the park, you got your 35 bonus points for showing up to the event (Trec). Time wise, it was possible to run both. Now, is that making everyone happy, no. But, there was no way to make everyone happy. Kyle and I talked about different ideas and this was the best we could do. Next year, maybe it will be done differently...
On another note - Bird took his very first, first place win in swimming tonight and he is giving credit to his new good luck charm... the Rosco Racin' tatoo that 5.9 girl gave him over the weekend! So, he is going to need a few more of those Michelle.... he is now saying he wont swim an event without one!

We talked about the points at the trec race before during the drivers meeting and some drivers said they didn't care about the trec points.

What about when WEROCK is there , same deal enter we rock and still get to keep your trec 35 points ?

So I will ask again because no one answered what is going to happen for the dirt riot race? Are we going to get our 35 points because we showed up at the park but race the dirt riot race?

:crybaby2: :crybaby2: They weren't just "at" the park (probably a poor choice of words by Larry ), they were racing the race and series the cars were built for. Like John said earlier, they still need to show up to the rest of the races to get the points. Why didn't you guys race again?
I don't think this really affects any class other than A / 4400 as far as dirt riot or KOH goes. There isn't really any b-class regulars built for the rocks.
Larry...so who were the drivers that were cutting course?

I almost bet if you took the 35 points away from the guys who raced u4 they wouldn't complain as much as you guys get over it and race harder to win the rest of the races to prove your point :flipoff2:

We are going to try and run DR and Trec at the same time.... got a few ideas. Maybe have a couple rock sections w bypasses that will take longer to complete then the rocks. If you want to try the rocks, go for it! If not thats fine too but it will take longer. Plus if you take the rocks it will be quicker thus giving more time to discuss things like.... oh say... who got 35the points for running the qualifier!!!!

While we are up to these points discussions, and the discussion of running different series within the same park last weekend..
Whats the plan for the sxs scoring? We ended up racing with the IMXC guys on the xc track that was set up on the north end of the park. Not prerunning was odd, but it worked out I guess. The track layout is a whole different issue..
We are already missing our 35 points for being at every race (forgot to show up and work on the buggy at the park... :laughing
we are still interested in the remaining points of the series.. But I haven't heard anything about the sxs results.

No I'm not getting out of racing I'm just starting to think in moving up in class and try to beat all you guys with a big boy truck. No I cant have two truck in the house cause the wife already said no.
