What kept the top 50 down to 42 then? Wouldn't pass the new rules?
2012 did not have 50. There were only 33, 11 of which were buggies (there were several more that don't meet the new rules as well). So of that 33, fewer than 22 of them were full bodied entries.
We probably had about 50 this time around (2013) but several entries were clearly buggies with no mention of the addition of body panels if voted in. Sooo, based on that info I think it's safe to say entries are up all around. More full bodied rigs have entered this year than last year giving us a higher total number of entries overall. That's a success in my mind.

Ok is the suspense driving anyone else crazy! Lol I have a big list of upgrades I wanna do if I make it! Well axles and wheels/tires and few other little thing. My only prob if I want some of the stuff before ttc I gotta order it now! I think I'm gonna pull the trigger tommorrow and hope I make the cut for top ten! So please vote # 18 so I am not blowing a lot of money I don't need to lol! Plus the new and revised money pit will put on a show!

Since I'm installing a new ECM, I decided to rip out all of the wiring in the rig and redo it all, as well as a new joystick controller for the rear steering. I was really hoping to go play last weekend, but now I have more work to do.

Dude tell me about it! One minute I think I got this made next minute I am thinking what was I thinking I don't got a chance in hell of making it. April needs to get here quick. I also thought about some more upgrades, but I am on the fence about spending the money right now for something that is not a for sure deal. A group of friends and I hit the eastern oregon sand dunes the middle of april every year for a week. If I make it I won't have the funds to do both. As far as votes go I got you and the other guys on here a ton of votes. I am almost embarrassed to say but last count I had 45 ballots is that bad?:grinpimp: Total out of pocket was only 42 bucks! My friends hooked me up with the rest.

You have a helluva rig. I will be surprised if you don't make it in.
I just finished the same. When I blew my engine at MegaRun 2012 I upgraded to a 454 and all new wiring. I finally got mine back on the trail last weekend. More upgrades to do if I make it in too. It sure gets expensive quick.

Yes, the suspense is really starting to get to me also. My wife says I'm obsessed. I'm working on the rig as if I am already in, but I should have had it done months ago like I originally planned, but somehow life always has a different idea of how things will work out. If I make it in, awesome! If not, guess there's always next year.

that's about where I am, the wife's jeep strated having problem's again so had to spend my doubler money to go toward a new vehicle for her and my truck started having problem too. :mad3:
and still need $2k to finish the bronco, so it's starting to look like i'll be fallowing in chestons foot steps when he got voted in..(finishing the build during top truck) if im lucky. :shaking:

Yeah... Looked like .120 wall. There's a gnarly boat ramp at the end of the "coal chute" and I goosed it at the bottom. My rear Suspension loaded hard when the tires hit the approach and tink... Done. Rock crawler walk of shame back to camp (front drive only with the rear going tink,tink,tink,tink,tink). It's a challenge DRY. If they flood any part of this course it's gonna be a mutha f$&;@r!!!

These are from an earlier trip...
Dropping into the pit before boat ramp and if I was a betting man I'd bet on this being filled like a swimming pool. Looks water tight.

You know they will fill it with water for sure! Looks nice and steep. I think if I make it I am definitely stretching my wheel base back out some.
