Every time I pull my Honda eu2000i out the carb seems to be fubared from shitty fuel. Next time I pull the carb off to clean it I'd like to install a dual fuel kit. Looking for a good kit to purchase. You guys have any input?
Even with the fuel valve, the carb needs to be drained prior to storage.Nothing to add about this, but on both of my father's 2000s he cut in a fuel shutoff in the line. Its a little hard to get to since everythings sealed up, but really only takes 10 minutes to run the carbs dry and put them up for storage
If I let My fiberglass buggy sit for more than a couple of days, the fuel turns to jelly. Weber are picky carbs in the best of times, and Kali gas kills them. I can leave Pemex in it for 6 months and it will fire right up :mad3:I hate this ethanol junk we got at the pump.
thats what I do on my EU3000is honda. If I wont be using it for a while I let it run out. The 3000 has a metal gas tank and the 2000 I bet has a plastic tank. I am a firm believer in plastic tanks reacting with fuel causes trouble. I see it in atvs every day.i just run my generator dry after using it. Then i dont have to mess with any additives, i just fill the tank up when i want it and 2 pull later its running.
How does the price of fuel consumption between the LP vs. Gasoline compare?I just converted my eu2000i to propane. I was tired of cleaning out the carb every six months because of it gumming up.
I purchased the kit from Generator Conversion Kits to Propane and Natural Gas.. With shipping it was $200. Motor-snorkel kit, tri fuel.
The hardest part of installation was mounting the vacuum regulator to the generator side. Careful marking and drilling made for a great installation.
I've used it for about 8 hours since the conversion. Works great.
Typically propane is about the same per BTU as gasoline. How does the price of fuel consumption between the LP vs. Gasoline compare?
